Mapa ilustrado con los nombres de la segunda división administrativa de cada país sudamericano, límite que en algunos paises recibe el nombre de región, en otros provinicia, estado o distrito. Esta elección tuvo varios propósitos: considerar las divisiones menos tradicionales del territorio; mostrar nombres que den un panorama amplio de la ocupación del paisaje, del reflejo de las diversas historias, culturas y personajes que aquí se han forjado durante siglos.
América del Sur es un proyecto que comenzó a fines de 2008 y fue presentado en mayo de 2016, en Santiago de Chile. Proyecto finalista para exhibición en la Bienal Iberoamericana de Diseño de Madrid 2016. Illustración y rotulación por Sergio Ramírez y Francisco Gálvez, producido por YAPO Project.
